BioVenture eLab, a part of Weill Cornell Medicine Enterprise Innovation, invites you to an interview with Dr. Elizabeth Comen, author and breast cancer oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and assistant professor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. This program is being hosted in collaboration with Women in Bio (WIB-Metro New York).
Join us for an interactive session with Dr. Comen highlighting her book "All In Her Head: The Truth and Lies Early Medicine Taught Us About Women’s Bodies and Why It Matters Today", an eye-opening account of medical history that is both a collective narrative of women’s bodies and experiences as well as a call to action for a new conversation around women’s health. The interview will be moderated by Dr. Lucia Regales, senior director of oncology clinical sciences at Curis.
Dr. Comen has appeared on "Good Morning America", "The Today Show", "The View", ABC News, NY1, Wall Street Journal online, Fox News and other news and print outlets, such as The New York Times, Today.com, Elle magazine, and Self magazine and is a well-known advocate in women's healthcare issues.
The event will be in-person at the BioVenture eLab space located at 1157 York Ave (between 62nd and 63rd St). Light snacks and beverages will be served and the event will feature a networking session with Women in Bio members and NYC life science industry representatives.
RSVP here. Registration is free for WIB members and $15 for non-members.
