Submit Disclosure to Center for Technology Licensing

Any and all potential inventions made by faculty, staff and students, or made using funds, resources or facilities of Weill Cornell Medicine, must be disclosed to CTL at Weill Cornell.

Fill out this PDF icon Invention Disclosure Form. Submit by emailing ctl-patents@cornell.edu

Once your form is submitted, a business development and licensing professional will be assigned to manage the invention and will contact you to discuss the invention. They will work with you to arrive at a concise definition of the invention, explore potential commercial applications of the technology, determine if there is a feasible intellectual property strategy, and complete any remaining gaps in the invention disclosure form to enable a decision about next steps. Our goal is to have a finalized recommendation within 90 days of disclosure.
