This intense 15-week program builds interdisciplinary teams comprised of trainees, clinicians and graduate students around patent pending institutional technologies. Teams learn through a combination of workshops, lectures, hands-on group assignments and 1:1 mentorship from industry experts to prepare business plans for a Tri-I innovation. Many ABI participants leverage the knowledge and experience gained during this course to explore alternative career paths in industry, consulting and venture capital. Several former students have taken permanent roles with startup companies and credit the ABI course for building their foundational entrepreneurial skill set.
