Annexin A2 Floxxed Mouse

Principal Investigator:

Katherine Hajjar, Professor Emerita of Pediatrics

Name: B6.Cg-Anxa2tm3.1Kah/Mmmh

Strain: 071909-MU

Modification: Knock-in

Description: Anxa2 floxxed mice were generated by introducing loxP sites flanking critical regions of the endogenous mouse Anxa2gene via homologous recombination in embryonic stem cells. The targeting construct included a PGK-neomycin selection cassette, and correctly targeted clones were identified by Southern blot and used to produce germline-transmitting mice. The neomycin cassette was subsequently removed using Flp recombinase, and homozygous Anxa2flox/flox mice were established.

Application: Mouse model useful for conditional deletion of Anxa2 in a tissue-specific or inducible manner using Cre recombinase.
