This annual event attracts many local and national investors, industry representatives, service providers and ecosystem partners to Weill Cornell Medicine for a full day of presentations, panels, meetings and networking. The first half of the day offers programming for scientific founders, touching on topics such as finding and hiring operating talent and due diligence basics. A keynote speaker is invited to talk about his/her entrepreneurial journey. Past speakers have included Drs. Bob Langer, Nancy Thornberry, David Fischell and Stan Lapidus.
The afternoon is structured as a partnering conference, where Weill Cornell Medicine startups and investors schedule 1:1 meetings in advance of the day using an online platform. This conference is modeled after the annual JPMorgan Healthcare Conference and provides an opportunity for inventors to showcase their product ideas to veteran investors and industry representatives in a quick-turnaround, intro meeting. Follow-up discussions may continue after the partnering conference.
